Hello I'm Sam
People often feel relief when someone understands their problem on a deeper level. I will be warm, calming and respectful towards you no matter what you say, and hopefully you will trust me enough to tell me your story. I like to help people to become experts on themselves, and hopefully you will gain some skills to heal yourself in the future.
My experience within nursing: working with children, caring for seniors, phobias, anxiety & depression, various mental disorders and disabilities, Cancer sufferers.
Hello I'm Grant
I am an accredited member of The National Counselling Society and an Individual Member of the BACP. I believe that we all have value, worth and dignity as people and a right to be heard and accepted.
My mission is to help you to find ways of handling what is troubling you. I will listen carefully to what concerns you and explore what you may already be doing to cope. I believe that by talking in some depth about your concerns in a safe environment, and having the opportunity to step aside from them we will be able to work together to find practical and positive ways to approach and tackle them.
Hello I'm Liz
I am a BACP Registered & Accredited Counsellor. I work in an integrative way, using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Person Centred approaches. I think it is important to tailor my approach to the needs of the individual as I do not believe that one approach is appropriate for everyone. As a counsellor, I will not tell you what to do or take control of your life. I will be non-judgmental, accept you unconditionally and will support you through your journey of self discovery, empowering you to take control of your life. I will provide a confidential and safe environment for you to work in.
I have 10 years experience of working in Private Practice, 7 years experience working as a Pastoral Care Manager/Counsellor in a Special Needs School for children with social, emotional & behavioural difficulties and I worked as a volunteer counsellor at an NHS Mental Health Unit for 5 years. I also teach the 'Certificate in Counselling Skills' & the 'Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling' at a local college.
I originally trained as a Mathematician and have a BSC (Hons) degree in Mathematics, but since I changed my career path to become a Counsellor, I have gained the following qualifications:
Hello I'm Ann
I am a qualified counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework to ensure good practice at all times. I provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment that enables you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
There are many reasons a person may benefit from counselling, such as life events being out of your control, situations that seem impossible to change, you may need to understand events that happened in your past or present, or you may need to consider the choices and opportunities that lie ahead.
Counselling is an opportunity for you to take control of your life. It is often difficult and painful to confront problems, so when anyone takes the difficult step and seeks counselling they are able to face these difficulties and work towards making positive changes to their life.
I work in an integrative way utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and Person Centred Approaches as required to meet your individual needs.
